Magic Manna Flour Corn Seeds

Make your own masa and tortillas at home with this super early flour corn bred for organic systems by Carole Deppe of Fertile Valley Seeds. Bred from Painted Mountain and selected for flavour and cooking characteristics this vigorous corn has solid coloured ears in three basic colours. Deep red/pink ears make great parching corn. Brownish/tan ears make great brown gravy and savoury bread while the white/peach ears make great pancakes, cookies and cakes. All three colours make great cornbread. Shortish plants reach 1.5-2m. The long thin ears dry down easily and the soft floury kernals are easy to grind even without a grain grinder. We find a coffee grinder or food processor does a great job job. Our grower, Rony taught us how to make delicious tortillas and we are hooked. OSSI pledged.
